The World Economy in the Era of Rising Inequality

The degree of income inequality has been worsening over the past decades in both developed and developing countries alike, hindering economic progress. It has become particularly severer after going through the full onset of the 2009 global crisis, causing the decline in domestic consumption and delay in economic recovery. Now, it has become a situation where it is not only a matter of fairness, but also one that cannot be overlooked for the sake of national economy.
