The Center for International Development (CID) at Harvard University, the
Global Security Research Center(GSEC) at Keio University , and the Korea
Institute for International Economic Policy(KIEP) are presently the sponsors of
the Asian Economic Panel and play a managerial and financial role in the
meetings. Membership of the Asian Economic Panel is by invitation. The Panel
meets twice a year to discuss economic issues that pertain either to subregions
of Asia or to particular Asian countries. The discussion of each topic begins
with the presentation of an analytical paper. A carefully selected subset of
the papers presented at each meeting published in the Asian Economic Papers
three times per year. The papers are chosen from open submissions or solicited
