This paper aims to discuss the issue in dispute over the construction and construction engineering services of the Uruguay Round multilateral negotiations and suggests strategies for the internationalization of effects related to the increase in trade and liberalization of Korea's construction industry.
This paper places more importance on dynamic structural changes and Korean characteristics than on the status quo of Korea's construction industry.
The composition of this study is as follows. Section II reviews the characteristics, obstacles and trends in construction. Section III summarizes the characteristics of the Korean construction industry, especially the changing patterns of demand and the problem of domestic supply. Section IV proposes laws and regulations for the Korean construction industry for institutional improvement.
Through these analyses, Section V analyzes the effects related to the liberalization of Korea's construction industry. In this regard, Section VI makes some policy recommendations for Korea to take countermeasures.
