On March 14th, 2017, the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) jointly held a seminar under the topic of “Recent Trade Issues on Korea-U.S. FTA” with the Korea Chamber of Commerce &Industry, Yulchon Attorneys at Law, and Steptoe & Johnson LLP at the Seoul Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The seminar was planned to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Korea-U.S. FTA. The experts participated in the seminar discussed the results of the Agreement and examined the protectionism on global economy, such as antidumping, countervailing duty, to seek a way out of the economic crisis. Chul Chung, the Vice President of Department of International Trade at KIEP, made a presentation on the subject of the outcomes and utilization plans of Korea-U.S. FTA at this seminar.
