The CDF is a large-scale international conference hosted by the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), bringing together high-ranking Chinese government officials, representatives of global companies, international organizations and prominent scholars to share China's development strategies. The event was held under the theme of “Momentum and Prospects of China’s Continuous Development.”

President Siwook Lee, who attended the CDF as a Korean scholar, interacted with experts from various fields and participated as a panel discussant at the Symposium on Global Economic Growth Outlook held on the afternoon of the 2nd day of the forum (3/25) to discuss the global economic growth paradigm and outlook.

“If you look at the level of raw material price convergence, the global economy is still in the process of globalization,” President Lee explained, adding that “both national policy and geopolitical relations have an important influence on the level and speed of globalization.”

President Lee also emphasized the importance of global cooperation in responding to climate change and developing the digital economy. To this end, he stressed the significance of restoring multilateral order in response to the new global economic environment.

During the forum, President Lee attended a session where Chinese ministers and vice ministers introduced major policies for their respective ministries to discuss China's sustainable development engines and prospects (National Development and Reform Commission & Ministry of Finance), China's sustainable development opportunities, and international cooperation (Ministry of Commerce & Ministry of Industry and Information Technology).

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping, State Council Premier Li Qiang, and a total of 82 CEOs of global companies, including Apple CEO Tim Cook, participated in the forum to share their opinions on China’s development drivers and outlooks, carbon neutrality and global climate governance, development of artificial intelligence and governance, the health industry, digital industrial transformation, promoting new consumption and domestic demand potential, and global economic growth.
