The committee consisted of experts from think tanks, government, business, and academia who gathered to review, evaluate, and discuss research topics for the year 2024.

Committee members shared their views on the key factors influencing the global economic order in 2024 and identified research topics that are currently in demand.

Heungchong Kim, President of KIEP, said that the organization will actively incorporate the opinions gathered from the committee into its research projects and will also cover other important research topics through various projects.

The event was attended by former KIEP presidents and various experts as research advisors.

Among the participants were Joo Hong Kang, Director of the Development Cooperation Planning Department at the Office of the Prime Minister; Saeryung Ahn, Director-General for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Taeho Bark, former Chairman of the Korea Trade Commission; Yung-Min Kim, CEO of the LG Business Research Institute; Yong-seok Heo, CEO of the Hyundai Research Institute; Dong Yoon Oh, CEO of the Korea Small Business Institute (KOSBI); and Ji-Hyung Lee, Director of Economic Cooperation & Trade Affairs at KOTRA.
