The visiting delegation consisted of Director General Raquel Garbers of the Canadian Department of National Defence and Captain Jill Marrack of the Canadian Defence Attaché at the Canadian Embassy in Seoul.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the impact of the U.S.-China conflict on the national security of both Korea and Canada, the importance of 1.5 track diplomacy in formulating security policies, and export controls and investment restrictions between Korea and Canada.

Representing KIEP, Dr. Hyok Jung Kim, Associate Research Fellow of the Americas Team, and Dae-eun, Lee, Researcher at the Economic Security Team, participated and shared their expert views on these topics with the Canadian delegation.
