Six graduate students from the United States, currently engaged in their master's and doctorate programs at Korean universities, visited the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) on September 10 (Friday).

The visiting group led by Professor Lim Eunjung of Kongju National University visited KIEP to attend a lecture by Dr. Yeon Wonho on the U.S.-China trade conflict and technology competition, followed by a question and answer session. Discussions continued on Korea's role as a middle power country in the U.S.-China competition, Korea-U.S. alliance and Korea-China relations, and the impact of U.S.-China competition on the unification of the two Koreas.

The MOFA Junior Scholar Fellowship is a program hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that designates mentors and provides various experiences to U.S. graduate students staying in Korea, aiming to train them as experts on Korean Peninsula issues.
