On May 10, 2023 at 10:30 am, the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) invited a delegation from the National Defence University (NDU) of Pakistan to its conference room and hosted a meeting with President Heungchong Kim and KIEP's researchers.

The visiting delegation consisted of 15 members including Syed Changez Zafar, Defense Attaché of Pakistan to Korea, Brigadier Owais Adil of the Pakistani Army, and Dr. Muhammad Arshad, a former Pakistani Army Brigadier, from National Defence University (NDU) of Pakistan.

During the meeting, the Pakistani delegation and President Heungchong Kim, Head of the India and South Asia Team Jeong Gon Kim, and other researchers from KIEP discussed the economic development process of Korea, its external economic relations, the current status of cooperation between Korea and Pakistan, and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the future.

President Heungchong Kim and Brigadier Owais Adil evaluated the visit as a valuable opportunity to review the cooperation between Korea and Pakistan and to discuss ways to enhance collaboration between the two countries in the future.
