President Kim Heungchong of KIEP attended the 2022 World Policy Conference held in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, from December 9th (Fri) to 11th (Sun). Hosted by the Institut français des relations internationales (ifri), the forum marks its 15th anniversary this year as an annual conference to invite leaders from five continents to discuss issues facing each region and to propose constructive solutions. President Kim Heungchong attended the first session on "Geoeconomics and Development in a Fragmented World" as a presenter, discussing the accelerating trend of political strife and protectionism in international conditions, and proposing ODA policies to promote the distribution of public goods.

The conference was also attended by Founder and Chairman Thierry de Montbrial of Ifri and the WPC, Senior Advisor Lee Hye Min from KIM & CHANG (former G20 Sherpa of Korea), President Masood Ahmed of the Center for Global Development (former Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department of the IMF), Vice Chairman Jean-Claude Trichet of the Académie des sciences morales et politiques (former Chairman of the European Central Bank, Honorary Governor of the Bank of France), President Mohamed Bazoum of the Republic of Niger, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Minister Vincent Biruta of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda, and Senior Reporter and International Columnist Renaud Girard at Le Figaro.
