KIEP-Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies (ACPSS) Joint Seminar 1

The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) held a joint seminar under the theme of Changes in International Relations in the MENA Region and the Economic Collaboration between Korea and North African Countries with the Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies (ACPSS) in Cairo, Egypt, at 10 a.m. on September 19, 2022.

The event was attended by related experts from KIEP, ACPSS, and officials from Egypt. President Heungchong Kim of KIEP, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Egypt Jinwook Hong, Professor Jae Wook Jeong of Sogang University, Professor Hyundo Park of Sogang University, Dr. Saerom Han of Durham University, Deputy President Kwon Hyung Lee of KIEP, Head Munsu Kang of KIEP, Former President Youngsun Lee of Hallym University attended this event.

In the main session, Professor Jae Wook Jeong gave a presentation on the theme of "Economic Impacts of Korea-Egypt FTA and its Implications for Korea-Egypt Economic Cooperation," and Professor Hyundo Park gave a speech on the theme of "Changes in the International Relations of the Middle East and its Implications after the War between Russia and Ukraine." Dr. Saerom Han of Durham University presented under the theme of Social Changes after the War in Ukraine in North Africa and its Implications, and Munsu Kang of KIEP gave a presentation under the theme of Food Security in North Africa and Policy Implications.
