The forum was held in joint with the Washington-based Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI), the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences (NRC), and the Korea Institute of Public Administration (KIPA).

At the forum, President Heungchong Kim of KIEP, President Kathleen Stevens of KEI, Vice President Mark Tokola of KEI, Associate Fellow Mark Fitzpatrick of KEI, and leaders of other national policy research institutes affiliated with the NRC attended the event.

Participants discussed and sought ways to cooperate on the topic of global economic security, which has recently been emphasized amid the rapidly changing international situation due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war.

President Heungchong Kim of KIEP stressed that the forum allowed participants to predict the reshaping of global order and that it was a time to seek ways for Korea to cooperate with the United States and Europe in the future from the perspective of global economic security.
