The seminar aimed to discuss the Indo-Pacific Strategy and policy issues in Korea and to share the research outcomes of KIEP's "Long-term Trade Strategies Study Series" with experts and government officials, seeking their opinions to contribute to Korea's long-term trade strategy and the success of the Indo-Pacific strategy. 

During his opening remarks, President Heungchong Kim expressed his hope that the research outcomes discussed in the seminar on the long-term trade strategies of major countries would contribute to Korea's long-term trade strategy and the successful implementation of the Indo-Pacific Strategy.

The keynote session was chaired by President Heungchong Kim and featured a round table discussion on the Indo-Pacific Strategy and policy issues in Korea. 

Panelists included Director Jeongho Lee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Professor Wongi Choe of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA), Professor Sangbae Kim of Seoul National University, Professor Yongshin Kim of Inha University, Professor Seungjoo Lee of Chung-Ang University, and Director Sungil Kwak of the Economic and Security Strategy Dept. at KIEP.

The first session, chaired by Deputy Director Kwon Hyung Lee of the Center for Area Studies at KIEP, included a presentation and discussion on "Long-term Trade Strategies of the United States, China, Japan, and Cooperation with Korea."

The second session, chaired by Dr. Seung Shin Lee, Senior Research Fellow of the Chinese Economy and Trade Team at KIEP, focused on the theme of "Long-term Trade Strategies of the EU, ASEAN, Central Asia, and Cooperation with Korea."
