The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) held a visiting scholar’s seminar with Dr. Marzieh Asaadi from Golestan University at the KIEP conference room in Sejong on September 8, 2022. Dr. Marzieh Asaadi has participated in the KIEP Visiting Scholars Program for a month. The seminar was organized to share results of research activity conducted over his visiting period, jointly with other researchers at KIEP. 

Dr. Marzieh Asaadi made a presentation on “Components of Industries Resilience to Maintain Sustainable Economic Growth under COVID-19 within the Knowledge-Based Economy Framework: A Comparative Study between Iran and South Korea.” She demonstrated general profile of South Korea and Iran, COVID-19 governance, which known as government responses to pandemic, a comparison of the impact of COVID-19 between Iran and South Korea focusing on public health issues, etc. 

KIEP experts including Dr. Munsu Kang and Mr. Sung Hyun Son, from Africa and Middle East Team, attended the seminar and discussed the findings covered in the presentation.
