The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) held a visiting scholar’s seminar with Dr. Angela Sagnella from University for Foreigners of Perugia, Italy at the KIEP conference room in Sejong on August 3, 2022. Dr. Angela Sagnella has participated in the KIEP Visiting Scholars Program for a month. The seminar was organized to share outcomes of research conducted over her visiting period, jointly with other researchers at KIEP. 

Dr. Angela Sagnella made a presenatation on “Digital Divide in Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) and the Opportunities for the South Korea-Spain Cooperation” and examined digital divide in LAC countries, impact of COVID-19, and benefits of Spain-Korea cooperation to bridge the digital gap in LAC. 

KIEP experts including Dr. Seungho Lee from Americas Team, Dr. Jin Kyo Suh from Trade Agreement Team, and Dr. Jiwon Park from Global Cooperation Strategy Team, attended the seminar and discussed the findings covered in the presentation.
