Since entering into the WTO, China has turned its protective foreign-trade policies into more engaging ones, as it is expected to reach a responsible attitude corresponding to its higher position in the global economy. Moreover, the economic relations between the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong Special Administration Region, and Taiwan have accelerated the formulation of the greater Chinese economic sphere.
