Women have undertaken more important roles than ever in global society.  Women’s participation has increased in academia, business, politics and etc.  Gender equality and women development play key roles to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)-Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiated by the UN.

UN Women and Duksung Women’s University will convene ‘World Congress 2014’ in Seoul, Korea, August 4-15, 2014. The theme of the World Congress 2014 is “Serving Together: Women’s Capacity Building and Education in Africa and Asia”.
The Congress aims at strengthening women’s global partnership and leadership.
Participants will exchange ideas and suggest new paradigm on women’s development  from different perspectives.

The World Congress 2014 includes the Global Leaders Forum, Gender Partnership and Women Entrepreneurship at the plenary panels jointly organized by the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP).
