The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) organizes the annual KIEP and Associations of Area Studies (KAAS) Conference, jointly hosted by 19 Associations of Area Studies, to expand the promotion of international area studies and strengthen economic cooperation with emerging economies.

This 2023 KAAS Conference will be held on October 20, 2023 at El Tower in Seoul, Korea with the theme "Geopolitical Landscape and Global Challenges in the Era of Economic Security".

This year, for the first time in three years, we are accepting applications from the general public, so we look forward to your participation in this event to discuss the new international order and global cooperation in the era of economic security.
