The purpose of this paper is to analyse an economic effect of Korean waves on exports and FDI in southest Asian countries. In section Ⅱ, Korean waves and cultural contents industry is reviewed. In section Ⅲ, Korean exports and FDI in southest asian countries is reviewed. In section Ⅳ, panel tobit regression model is built and empirical work is conducted by using data 1997 to 2007 in two group's countries. The empirical findings through the panel tobit regression is as follows. First in regression analysis on exports, the variables of CUL(exports of Korean cultural contents goods) and GDP are positive and statistically significant respectively in two group's countries. Second in regression analysis on FDI, the variable of CUL is positive and statistically significant in two group's countries. The variable of GDP is positive and statistically significant in the group B(seven countries) but negative and statistically in the group A(ten countries). So Korean exports of cultural contents goods in southeast asian countries should be continued and renewed in order not to giving a boring feeling. And Korean cultural contents should be oriented host country rather than Korea.
