India is one of the largest producer of motion pictures. Censorship with reference to films means an official examination of film before public exhibition. There are so many articles in Indian Constitution for the film censorship in India. Film Censorship has been included in the Art 19(1) (a) in the freedom of Speech and Expression in which it is one of the very important freedoms in the Six Freedoms provided under our Indian Constitution. This paper deals specially with Constitutional validity of film censorship in India.
