The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI) co-hosted a webinar on “IRA Implications and ROK-U.S. Cooperation in Economic Security” on January 25, 2023, at the KIEP Conference Room.

Experts were invited to participate offline and online to discuss the impact of the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and future cooperation between Korea and the U.S., and exchanged their views on various economic security issues.

The webinar started off with opening remarks by Heungchong Kim, President of KIEP, and congratulatory remarks by Kathleen Stephens, President of KEI.

The first session was held under the theme of "Impact of IRA on Korea and Prospective Moderation of the Policy," and the second session was held under the theme of "Korea-U.S. Cooperation on Economic Security."

The event was attended by Tami Overby, senior advisor to Albright Stonebridge Group, Wonho Yeon, head of KIEP's Economic and Security team, and related experts from the U.S. and Korea.
