The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) held a seminar on “Sharing 2020 Cooperative Research Outcomes of African and Latin American Areas” at the President Hotel in Seoul on June 18, 2021.

Experts gathered to share their research outcomes and discuss issues such as: the East African startups ecosystem, demands of ICT international development cooperation in Africa, trade and investment implications of the Korea-Central America FTA, and medical cooperation between Korea and Latin America.

Since 2019, KIEP has been promoting cooperative research with NRC-affiliated research institutes, area studies research societies, and university-affiliated research institutes to support the government’s New Southern Policy.
