The Future of Cross-Border Payments in ASEAN+3 국제세미나 개최

대외경제정책연구원(KIEP)은 2025년 12월 11일(목) 서울 프레지던트호텔에서 기획재정부와 공동으로 “The Future of Cross-Border Payments in ASEAN+3: Regional Cooperation in the Era of Digital Innovation”을 주제로 국제세미나를 개최하였다.
첫 번째 세션에서는 “Regional Payment and Settlement Systems: Current Landscape and Way Forward”를 주제로 발표와 토론이 진행되었다.
이 세션에서 Takashi Makabe Zengin-net CIO는 ‘A Case Study on Korea-Japan Payment System Interoperability’를 주제로 발표했으며, 오상승 금융결제원 센터장은 ‘Connecting People of ASEAN+3 through Cross Border Retail Payment Services’를 주제로 발표를 이어갔다.
두 번째 세션에서는 “Digital Financial Innovation and the Future of Cross-Border Payment”를 주제로 발표와 토론이 진행되었다.
발표자로 나선 강형구 한양대학교 교수는 ‘Building Asia’s Digital Payment Public Good: A Strategic Proposal for the AsiaPay_Link and APEX Fund Framework’를 주제로 발표했으며, Sayuri Shirai 게이오대학교 교수는 ‘Digital Payment and Currency: Cross-Border Perspectives’를 주제로 논의를 이어갔다.
안성배 KIEP 대외협력부원장은 폐회사에서 “규제 정합성·유동성 관리·거버넌스는 신뢰를 구축하는 핵심 기반이며, 금융 협력의 실현은 IT 시스템을 넘어 정책과 규제의 상호 운용성에 달려 있다”고 강조했다.
이번 세미나는 디지털 혁신 확산 속에서 ASEAN+3 역내 지급결제 협력의 현황과 주요 과제를 점검하고, 향후 역내 금융협력의 방향성을 함께 모색하는 의미 있는 자리였다.
