This paper points out that China’s social governance has achieved positive effects since the Reform and Opening Up. In the area of community governance, the construction of Social Organizations has been rapidly promoted, Community Service Institutions have flourished, and Social Service Institutions are on the rise; in the area of social security, the number of social security-related cases per thousand people has continued to decrease. Social accidents were gradually decreasing and the number of cases related to court and procuratorate is showing a decreasing trend. Obviously, in the past several decades, China has achieved good social governance, which is the result of the dynamic interaction of different strategies. Generally speaking, the following four points contributed to the success of the social governance in China. Namely, the rebalancing of the state and society, the cooperative relationship between political parties and the government. The flexible combination of effective management and moderate development, as well as the flexible combination of conventional governance and campaign-style governance, It is under the combined effect of above mentioned multiple governance strategy that China’s social governance achieved its success.
