The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) are jointly hosting the PECC Signature Project Workshop on issues related to low birth rates and aging populations.

As the host of APEC 2025, Korea has designated demographic changes as one of the key deliverables for APEC member economies to address collectively. This workshop has been organized as part of the PECC Signature project, a joint initiative by KOPEC and JANCPEC to address demographic changes.

The event will serve as a platform for in-depth discussions on the demographic shifts and the challenges of aging societies across the Asia-Pacific region, with the aim of identifying innovative policy responses to these shared issues.

We hope this workshop will provide a meaningful platform for member economies to share their experiences and policy practices, while identifying practical and concrete solutions to regional labor shortages.
