The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) will co-host the 32nd Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) General Meeting in Seoul on August 12, 2025, marking Korea’s hosting of the APEC summit for the first time in 20 years.
The PECC is a tripartite regional forum and the official observer of APEC, serving as its leading think tank. It brings together experts from government, business, and academia to offer policy-oriented solutions to major issues facing the Asia-Pacific region.
Under the overarching theme of “Reimagining Asia-Pacific Cooperation,” the Seoul General Meeting will feature in-depth discussions on the multifaceted challenges posed by changes in the global trade environment, technological innovations such as artificial intelligence, and demographic changes. These issues will be examined from economic, social, and policy perspectives.
We hope this General Meeting will serve as a meaningful opportunity to redefine the direction of regional cooperation and to explore practical solutions for sustainable development. We look forward to your valuable participation.
