1. AIMS and SCOPE

The East Asian Economic Review is a peer-reviewed academic  journal that promotes  interdisciplinary research in international economics. Published quarterly by the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, a Korean government-funded economic think-tank, the journal adopts a global perspective and covers both theoretical and empirical research.

The Journal aims to facilitate greater understanding of all issues pertinent to diverse economies of East Asia by publishing rigorous analyses by renowned experts in the field. The EAER connects policy and theory by providing empirical analyses and practical policy suggestions for the economies in the region.

2. TOPICS COVERED

Our journal primarilyy focuses on issues relevant to the diverse economies of East Asia. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Trade and International Investment

• Economic Integration 

• Regional Economic Cooperation 

• International Finance 

• International Development 

• International Cooperation for Korean Unification

3. ABSTRACTING and INDEXING

The East Asian Economic Review is indexed and/or abstracted in EconLit, ProQuest, EBSCO, RePEc, SSRN, ECONIS, EconBiz, Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Korea Citation Index (KCI), and DOAJ.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINE:

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:

The Journal is published March, June, September and December, and manuscripts are accepted for review on a rolling basis.

REVIEW PROCESS:

The manuscript evaluation process generally includes submission, an initial editorial screening,  peer review, editorial decisions following review, revision, acceptance in principle, final submission and copy-editing and proofs, advance online publication, and print publication.

5. AWARD FOR EAER

The East Asian Economic Review Award is presented to articles that have made exemplary contributions to advancing both public and academic understanding of international economics. Every article published in the Journal is eligible for an honorarium of USD 2,000. In addition, outstanding and noteworthy articles selected through the nomination process receive a prize of USD 4,000 along with a detailed nomination statement describing how the awarded papers have contributed to the advancement knowledge in international economics.
