[Seminar] Future of the New Southern Policy in the Post-COVID-19 Era

International Seminar on 「Future of the New Southern Policy in the Post-COVID-19 Era」 will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the Westin Chosun Seoul, which is hosted by the Presidential Committee on New Southern Policy and the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities, and Social Sciences (NRC), and organized by the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP).


This seminar is aimed to reconfirm the implications of the New Southern Policy pursued by the government of the Republic of Korea while discussing visions, goals and major challenges requiring cooperation in response to the post-COVID-19 era.


In particular, this seminar is expected to provide valuable opportunities to look back on achievements of the New Southern Policy while exploring ways to further upgrade the policy.


Also, this seminar will serve as a valuable platform for in-depth discussions, with the participation of prominent figures from home and abroad including ambassadors of India and ASEAN member countries, authorities related to the New Southern policy, heads of major research institutes and experts of India and ASEAN member countries, etc.
