|Title||[Seminar] Korean-German Economic Research Network on Unification|
Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) cordially invites you to the seminar “Structural Changes & SME Policies after German Unification in East Germany: Implications for the Korean Peninsula”, which will take place at the Westin Chosun Hotel (Seoul) on 6th December 2017.
This seminar is hosted by the ‘Korean-German Economic Research Network on Unification’, which was established by the Korean and German governments' finance ministries, Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), and Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) in Germany, recognizing the need for cooperation in sharing economic policies in preparation for Korean unification.
In this seminar, which is the fourth year of the Korean-German Economic Research Network on Unification, researchers from KIEP and IWH will present their research on the issues. Furthermore, Korean unification specialists in government, academia and research institutes will also share their insights through in-depth discussion. We will have the opportunity to hear about the structural changes after German Unification as well as the SME policies in East Germany, and its implications on the Korean Peninsula.
This seminar provides German-Korean simultaneous interpretation. We sincerely hope that government officials, foreign diplomats and journalists stationed in Korea, as well as Korean journalists, will participate and enrich the discussion by sharing their views.
We look forward to your participation in the seminar.
